1) National Women’s History Museum Web Quest
The National Women’s History Museum web site is an excellent resource for kids, teachers, and homeschooling families! Get to to know all about it with this 15 question National Women’s History Museum Web Quest that can be used year-round! Great for use with higher level 3rd graders through 8th grade! Wo knows? While students are completing the Web Quest they might stumble upon some really intriguing parts of the site and get interested in learning more! That was my hidden agenda:).
This would make a great literacy or Social Studies station or fast finishers enrichment activity! A print and digital version are included!
What about an answer key? OF COURSE!! I would have it no other way!
2) Women’s History Trading Card Project
This project is a win-win! Students (approximate ages 3rd grade-8th grade) get to practice research skills and display it in a creative way by designing a trading card for some women who accomplished some great things but may not be as well-known! Use this as a project or activity for Social Studies or Language Arts to celebrate Women’s History Month any month!
I included women of multiple cultural backgrounds from a variety of fields throughout multiple time periods. Many of these women had to overcome adversity to be successful. Help students use the achievements of these great women as inspiration to follow their dreams!
This includes a teacher tip sheet, structured and open-ended student direction page, blank template, answer key, and sample grading rubrics.
